Terms of use
Version 2026-10-10 (2)
These terms apply to your use of Deck House, a test (“alpha”) service operated by Deck-house. By creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy statement.
1. What Deck House is
A place to keep a collection of trading cards, build decks, keep a wishlist and play online against other members or a bot. It is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro, Wizards of the Coast or any other rights holder (see Rights holders). The service is an alpha: it can change, be unavailable or lose data, and prices shown are illustrative.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for your password and for what happens under your account. Choose a password you do not use elsewhere; if you forget it, use “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page: a link is sent to the e-mail address of your account.
- You need a valid e-mail address that is yours; we send a link to confirm it. Throw-away addresses are not accepted. Uploading and scanning photos requires a confirmed address.
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts in bulk or by automated means. Sign-ups may be limited, paused or stopped at any time.
- Your display name and bio must not impersonate others or contain anything unlawful, hateful or misleading.
3. Photos and other content you upload
- Upload only photos of cards that you may share: photos you took yourself of cards you own, and no one else’s images unless you have permission. Card artwork and text belong to their owners; you stay responsible for what you upload.
- Photos are checked to see that they show the card they claim to show. A photo of another card, or of something that is not a card, is refused.
- By uploading you let Deck House store the photo and show it to other signed-in members for as long as you keep it shared, only to run the service. You keep your own rights. You can stop sharing or delete a photo at any time, which also removes it for everyone who used it.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, indecent, or that infringes someone’s rights, privacy or personality. Do not upload photos with people in them.
4. Reporting, moderation and bans
Photos that are not cards. If a photo is not recognised as a card, it may be checked once more automatically to see whether it is a poor photo of a card or something else. Something that is clearly not a card (for example a shopping list or a selfie) counts as a warning. After 5 warnings within 30 days your account is suspended for 7 days; the third suspension is permanent. Explicit or pornographic images lead to an immediate and permanent ban. You are told how many warnings you have each time. Bans can also be given by a moderator for breaking these terms; a ban always comes with a reason. A banned person may not create a new account, and the e-mail address of a permanently banned account stays blocked. If you think a ban is wrong, contact us (see below); a moderator will look at it.
Members can report images. Moderators may hide or remove images and, in case of repeated or serious violations, withdraw upload rights or close an account. We tell the uploader when an image is removed and why. Rights holders can use the procedure on the Rights holders page.
5. Fair play
Play fairly. Do not exploit bugs, interfere with other members’ matches, attack or overload the service, or try to access data that is not yours. We may rate-limit or block traffic that looks abusive. Ratings are for fun and have no value.
6. No warranty, liability
The service is provided “as is” during the alpha, without promises about availability, accuracy or that data is kept. To the extent the law allows, Deck-house is not liable for damage from using or being unable to use the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account and all data tied to it yourself on your profile page, and download your data first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
8. Changes and contact
We may change these terms. Important changes are announced on the site, and the version date at the top of this page shows which text applies. Questions: contact@deckhouse.nl.
9. Applicable law
Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without affecting mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
